Founded in 1983, the United Fund for the Arts and Humanities strengthens arts and humanities throughout the Coulee Region through collaborative fundraising and shared community support.
 

Together with its Member organizations, UFAH helps sustain education, performances, exhibitions, heritage preservation, and cultural experiences that enrich community life.

The Opportunity

This position offers a unique opportunity to help strengthen arts and humanities throughout the Coulee Region. Working alongside an engaged Board of Directors, Member organizations, donors, and community leaders, the Executive Director helps advance a collaborative fundraising model that supports a diverse and vibrant cultural ecosystem.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Build relationships with donors, Members, and community partners

  • Help sustain twelve arts and humanities organizations through collaborative fundraising

  • Support a respected regional nonprofit with more than forty years of community impact

  • Contribute to strategic growth and organizational development

  • Serve as an ambassador for arts and humanities across the Coulee Region

Key Responsibilities

The Executive Director serves as the primary staff leader of UFAH and is responsible for supporting fundraising, governance, Member engagement, and organizational operations.

Annual Fund & Donor Stewardship

Support annual fundraising efforts, donor communications, stewardship activities, and campaign administration.

Board & Governance Support

Coordinate Board and committee meetings, prepare meeting materials, and maintain governance records.

Member Engagement

Serve as a primary point of contact for Member organizations and support collaborative initiatives.

Financial & Administrative Operations

Support financial administration, reporting processes, recordkeeping, and organizational systems.

Community Engagement & Representation

Represent UFAH at meetings, events, and community activities while fostering positive relationships with donors and partners.

Candidate Profile

UFAH is seeking a thoughtful, organized, relationship-centered leader who can balance fundraising, administration, communication, and community engagement in a part-time nonprofit leadership role.

  • Fundraising, donor stewardship, or development experience

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Nonprofit administration, community leadership, or related experience

  • Comfort with technology, records, databases, and digital tools

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

  • Appreciation for arts, humanities, and regional community impact
